5 Ways to Get & Stay Motivated

Accept Where You Are Currently

Life is like those signs that read: You Are Here.”

When you want to go somewhere else, you need to know where you are starting from, otherwise, you won’t know what direction you are going, what next steps to take, or have a plan to follow.

By accepting where you are currently, you are not bathing in the anxiety about how you will find your motivation.

Adopt A Positive Vocabulary

Use strong adjectives to describe what’s good in your life.

i.e: “I’m feeling absolutely great/marvelous today.”

Use weak words to describe what’s not so good.

i.e.: “I’m feeling irritated/annoyed today.”

Having a strong positive vocabulary produces more expansive energy and opens up more avenues of possibility!

 Condition Your Mind

Train yourself to reframe those negative thoughts.

i.e.: Turn “I never can stick to a weight loss plan” to “I have had challenges in the past sticking to a weight loss plan, but now I am focused on why I’m doing this and learning along the way how to be consistent.”

Avoid Negative People

They can be big energy drains, which can prevent you from feeling motivated and even give up on your intentions and goals.

Instead, seek out people who are positive and similarly motivated. Their energy will rub off on you as well as encourage and inspire you to move forward with your goals and intentions.

Don’t Expect Perfection

Perfectionists are often operating from fear.

Fear of failure, fear of not looking good, fear of not being good enough, fear of not doing it right, as well as fear of not being lovable enough are most often beneath the perfectionism mentally.

Striving for perfectionism is a recipe for stopping the flow of positive energy and results in stress and anxiety. It lays the foundation for numerous excuses of why you don’t take action.

Instead, strive for excellence.

Excellence is about doing and being your best YOU.

If you are struggling in your motivation in doing the action steps needed to achieve your goals, keep focused on these 5 ways to get and stay motivated for the next week.

Sometimes, all we need is to be re-inspired with some guidance and tips.

Other times, we need more support.

Get Your Subconscious On Board!

Getting your subconscious mind on board with your goals and intentions is the support you need if you are serious about being motivated, staying motivated, and taking the inspired actions to make the changes you desire.

If you are wanting to break old non-serving habits and establish better ones that are in alignment with your goals, you’ll want to work on the subconscious level, too.

The subconscious mind holds the instruction guide for behaviors that have been repeated over and over again. It’s on autopilot for a repeat. Many of them serve us well.

Who wants to struggle to learn to tie their shoes each time? The subconscious has learned this behavior and knows how to do it without your conscious mind needing to re-learn it.

But there are other behaviors, thoughts, and “rules” that are residing in your subconscious mind that are running on the repeat autopilot cycle that aren’t in sync with your goals.

So, in order to turn off that repeating cycle, you need to access the old programming to make changes.

Hypnosis is an excellent modality for discovering the old “tapes” and connecting to your own solutions.

I like to refer to your best solutions as your own inner wisdom.

When you connect in, you can dismantle the limiting beliefs, behaviors, patterns, and rules.

This access allows you to create new more empowering behaviors, self-talk, beliefs, and patterns that work in favor of what you are wanting to create.

You become naturally motivated when you are no longer fighting old patterns.
