Happy New Year for 2023
Mind Matters
“The New Year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.
We can help write that story by setting goals.”
Melodie Beattie
As 2022 comes to a close, I want to thank you for being a part of my community and wish you a very Happy New Year for 2023.
If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions.
Instead, I find it much more inviting to think of this calendar break in time from one year to the next, as an opportunity to stop and reflect on your life.
- What’s worked for you this past year?
- What were your successes?
- What do you want to celebrate?
It can be extremely useful to write your answers to these questions down in a journal of some sort.
Then, from there begin to ask yourself some other questions, such as:
- What’s important to me now?
- How do I want to be sure to be in alignment with what is most important to me?
Here is the opportunity to create and design what that can be for you.
For example, if your health is most important to you now, perhaps you will want to make mini-inspiring goals that align with what being healthy means to you.
Make those mini goals as positive statements, such as:
I am now focused on walking in Nature at least 2 x per week.
I am now focused on eating foods that support my health at least 3x per week.
I am now focused on keeping stress levels to a minimum by using stress management tools.
You can even decide to create a “Theme” for your year.
My theme for this year is Connection.
What’s yours?
Play around with how you create and design your New Year.
As you stop, reflect and consciously renew your commitment to YOU, you will be connected to what truly lights you up and will feel inspired to take the best actions that are in alignment with who you really are!
Wishing you a creative and inspired New Year!
Warmly,
Jackie
P.S. If you’d like help in creating and designing your new year or you’d like to change something that is getting in your way of being in alignment with what “lights you up,” please reach out, I’d love to help. It’s what I’m passionate about and what keeps me “lit up” in my life and connects me to my best self!
