A Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
Whether you are in a romantic relationship and/or simply want to use this day to embrace all your relationships with love-including the one with yourself, I wish you a day filled with love and gratitude.
One of the fastest ways to experience love is to be in the state of gratitude.
Here’s a very quick, short and easy practice you can do right now!
Place your hand or hands on your heart center.
Take a few deep belly breaths, as you imagine those breaths filling your heart center as well as your belly.
Now, imagine someone dear to your heart-someone you love-whether or not they are still on this planet doesn’t matter.
Keep imagining them as you breathe into your belly and heart center….
You might feel yourself having an inner smile, or feel the warmth of love permeate your whole body….
Now, as you are feeling this love, think of 3 things that you are grateful for-that you appreciate in your life.
Coule be your home, your partner, your children, your furry kid (s), your friends, your family, whatever it is for you right now, say it either to yourself or out loud:
I am grateful for______; I am grateful for_______; I am grateful for_______
Take a moment and feel yourself filling up even more with love and appreciation.
Now, one last step: Imagine you can send all that love and appreciation out to surround your entire body….keep using your imagination…and imagine you can send that love that surrounds your entire body out to all your loved ones, your family, your friends…and even out to the entire world.
If you find yourself thinking anything contrary on this last step-take a breath and simply continue doing it anyway!
Now, simply stop and let yourself really feel those feelings-that state of love and appreciation.
It’s very powerful and inspiring…don’t you think so?
