Gratitude as a Way of Life

The benefits of feeling appreciation and gratitude are numerous. Yet, we often get distracted by what we don’t have in our lives, which keeps us feeling less joy, more discouraged and sometimes even resigned to a life of “nothing ever changes”.

I have found that a regular practice of appreciation/gratitude is necessary for my own health and well being and an important component of my clients’ ability to transform their lives.

It is in the presence of what we have that we allow more to come in. It works beautifully with the Law of Attraction. When we focus on what we have and what we appreciate, it all appreciates, and we attract more of that abundance into our lives through the energy or vibration we are being.

Being in this appreciation energy feels better overall. This better feeling energy allows us to be guided in making better choices for ourselves, finding solutions easier, and generally feeling more “at ease” in life. Feeling more “at ease” certainly is conducive to feeling more joy as well.

So, want to feel more gratitude and joy in your life?
Are you ready to feel better and more “at ease”?

Here is a simple practice you can do regularly and receive abundance of benefits. Give it a whirl for 30 days and you’ll notice a definite shift in how you feel and who you are being.

Do this simple practice and receive the benefits of gratitude!

  • Get yourself a “Gratitude/Appreciation Journal”

This can be any notebook or perhaps buy yourself a “special” one dedicated for this purpose only.

  • Take a few good deep breaths and begin to focus on what you have in your life, what you appreciate, what you are grateful for.
  • Try focusing in from your heart.
  • Write them down. List them each on a separate line.

Examples:

I am grateful for my husband
I appreciate all he does for us
I am grateful for my clients
I appreciate who each and every one is
I am grateful for my home
I appreciate the shelter, the warmth and security it provides

  • Do this for 5 minutes or more or until it feels complete. There is no “right” amount of time. Trust yourself to know when you are complete for the day.

You can do this as a way to start the day off or as a way to finish your day. It’s up to you. I personally like to do it as a way to start my day. It puts me in a good frame of mind.

Commit to doing this daily and you will feel the shift of more positive focus, less resistance, more allowing, and definitely more joy!
