The Christmas Holiday is getting closer!
As the Christmas holiday gets closer, many people start to get even more stressed out and more overwhelmed. But, as my last email-it doesn’t have to be that way!
How about this last week before Christmas, you focus on Joy!
It may seem challenging to do so with so much on the to do list, but you CAN do it, really!
Personally, when I stop and breathe deeply for a moment or 2 and decide to focus on what has me feel good about this season, my monkey mind thoughts and the list of things to do, takes a break! Ahh…and I find myself actually experiencing joy!
Give yourself the gift of joy this next week even when you find yourself running from here to there.
Let’s make “StressMas” a thing of the past and really enjoy this special season!
Wishing you joy as you move through your week!
Warmly,
Jackie, Your Holiday Calming Elf!

More Tips for More Joy This Holiday Season!
A Continuum from previous tips!
Tip #3: Build Moments of Joy Into Each Day
One of the best ways to combat holiday stress is to actively seek out small moments of joy. These don’t have to be big or elaborate—they’re about reconnecting with what makes you happy.
Here are a few ideas to try:
- Take a detour to enjoy holiday lights. Even a short drive through a decorated neighborhood can boost your mood.
- Play your favorite holiday music. Let yourself sing along or even dance—who cares if it’s in the kitchen?
- Create a cozy ritual. Brew a cup of tea, light a candle, and spend five minutes journaling about what you’re grateful for.
These small acts of joy can help you stay connected to the true spirit of the season.
Tip #4: Set Boundaries to Protect Your Energy
Are you saying “yes” to everything out of obligation? Whether it’s attending every party or hosting multiple events, overcommitting can leave you feeling drained and resentful.
Practice saying no with kindness:
- “I appreciate the invitation, but I won’t be able to make it this year.”
- “That sounds wonderful, but I need to focus on other priorities right now.”
- “Thank you for thinking of me, but I’ll have to pass this time.”
Setting boundaries isn’t selfish—it’s an act of self-care. By protecting your time and energy, you’ll have more to give to the people and activities that truly matter.
Setting boundaries allows you to connect to your joy!
Reframe Your Holidays With Intention of experiencing more Joy!
Yes, you can experience more Joy during the holidays. Be intentional!
By grounding yourself, simplifying your to-do list, and prioritizing joy over perfection and obligations, you can create a season that feels calm, meaningful, and fulfilling.
Imagine looking back on this holiday season not with exhaustion, but with gratitude for the moments you truly savored. That’s the gift of intention. That’s Joy!
