Your Future Self

As we move out of January, this is a natural time to pause — not to evaluate or judge, but to imagine.

Rather than asking, “What should I do this year?”

Try asking, “Who am I becoming — and how do I get there?”

You may want to read through these questions slowly, or set aside a few quiet minutes.

If it feels right, begin with a few focused, calm breaths. You might even place a hand (or both hands) over your heart — simply as a way to settle in and bring your attention inward.

There’s no right way to do this. Just notice what comes up.

Imagine It’s Four Months From Now…

As you picture yourself four months into the year:

  • How are you responding to stress differently?
  • What feels a little lighter or more steady?
  • What small choices or habits helped create that shift?
  • How are you caring for your emotional well-being?

Pause. Breathe. Let yourself feel into these answers rather than analyze them.

Now, Imagine Six Months From Now…

As you look ahead a bit further:

  • What feels more consistent in your life?
  • What have you let go of that no longer serves you?
  • How do you speak to yourself when things feel challenging?
  • What supports are you allowing yourself to receive?

Again, take a breath or two. Notice any images, words, or sensations that arise.

Now, Imagine Eight Months From Now…

From this future perspective:

  • What feels more aligned?
  • What boundaries or priorities are clearer?
  • How do you protect your energy now?
  • What feels more grounded or settled within you?

There’s no need to make sense of everything — simply observe.

And Now, At the End of the Year…

As you imagine yourself at the close of the year:

  • Who are you now?
  • How do you experience yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically?
  • What ways of thinking or behaving made the biggest difference?
  • What helped you stay connected — to yourself and to what matters most?

In a Nutshell…

From everything you’ve imagined:

  • Who do you want to be at the end of this year?
  • And what small habits, ways of thinking, or daily choices will help you become that person?

Often, it’s not one big change — but many small, compassionate ones — that shape who we become.

Your future self begins with clarity.
If you’re ready to take a clear next step, let’s have a conversation about where you are now and where you want to go.
